Nir Gavish

Welcome to my webpage at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.

I am an Associate Professor at the Mathematics Department.

My research interests lie in applied mathematics.  In particular, I use a combination of tools such as mathematical modeling, asymptotic and spectral analysis, scientific computing, and rigorous analysis, as well as collaborate with experimentalists in order to solve problems that arise from chemical Physics, material science, nonlinear Optics and auction theory.

Please see my research page for more details.

I have been involved in the development of an exploratory tool to understand and compare the potential impacts of interventions to address COVID-19, see additional details.  Additional details in Hebrew, as well as a blog on the mathematical modeling of epidemics, are available here.
